Thank You...

...all for celebrating with us and for the sweet baby gifts! We had fun checking the mail everyday and letting Adelaide open little packages. We love you all!

Thank you Jackie and David Askvig for the beautiful, handmade, baby hat! So cute and I can't wait wait to see Emery in it! Perfect for a January baby-you're very talented Jackie!
Thank you Caleb and Ashley for the Boon Spoon and toy! Adelaide must know the spoon means food! These spoons are a genius product, love them!
Thanks Cass and Jake for the Baby Legs (which are a cloth diapering, baby wearing mother's best friend!) and the always handy, much needed burp cloths!

We're so excited for the Snappis to use on our prefold diapers (no pins, no pain!)...we'd be more excited if we knew who to thank :) (we found no note with these)

Adelaide is making sure the bib from Brook and Zac works and isn't quite sure about the pee pee tee pees, haha!

Thanks Brook and Zac for the awesome little boy clothes! Makes me so excited to have a little baby boy!
And a special thank you to Brook for "hosting" a great blog-babyshower! I love you friend!

Game #5--The "Big" Kahuna

This is the baby shower game that kicks all other games' butts :)  We are going to guess Emery's birth numbers--ie birth weight, length, and date he comes.  The one with the most correct will win.  Obviously the winner will not be announced with the winners of the other games, but I will contact you after Emery's birth to get you your prize!  Remember, guess Emery's birth weight, length, and date of birth.

Charity and Jordan, you guys can play this one too :)

Game #4 Oh, POOP!

Baby Emery got into the pantry and found the Johnson's sweets stash.  Guess all of the candy/sweets items he consumed.  The one to get the most correct wins--there are less than 10 items in the mix.
(The pictures are of the same diaper--one is a close up for examination purposes!)

Send the family a wish!

I hope that you will all take a little time to send the family special well wishes.  Make sure to read the post below, which is an update from Charity regarding special prayer requests.  These wishes will help encourage Charity and Jordan through the next twelve weeks and the rough first eight with little Emery.

A Little Emery update and quick prayer request!

Good morning!

Whew, this pregnancy has flown by! And we're so thankful for friends and family like you who keep in touch and enjoy hearing about the little one's health and development. I'm praising the Lord for a healthy baby boy and pregnancy (but not to say I wouldn't be praising him if things were different, "In all things give thanks!").

A quick update: We had the 28 week midwife appointment last week and from here we're heading into the every 2 week appointments (it's really that time already??). Everything is going well and besides terrible sciatic nerve pain, I'm doing just fine. The baby is measuring a tiny bit ahead but we all know that doesn't mean much.

Prayer request:

  • At the moment, Emery is breech. He still has quite afew weeks to turn by himself but I notice he really loves putting his little head in my ribs constantly and is pretty comfortable staying put there. Since I'm small, he's running out of room to turn already and the midwife wants me to start working on turning him. So if you would just pray for his position to change that would be great!

  • My sciatica. It's been pretty debilitating these days. I do yoga to help stretch and while that's the only thing that helps me feel any better, it only lasts a few hours and then I am back to barely being able to walk much less carry Adelaide around or keep up with housework. Prayer that the pain would lessen would be appreciated or that I would learn to cope during these last few months! :D

Thank you SO much friends! Thanks for helping us celebrate the growth of our little family! We love and miss you and thank God for you!

Game #3- Toilet Paper Belly

Now its time to take a sneak peek at little Emery.  The goal of this game is to guess the number of squares of toilet paper it takes to go around the center of Charity's belly.  A half square would be tallied as a full square.  If there is a tie in this game I will put the names in a hat and pull out a winner.  (Charity and Jordan cannot play this one because they already know :)  )  Look at that cute mommy and big sister!
